Learn More About Managing Diabetes With Free Real World Diabetes Workshops

Beginning in March, The Eye Institute (TEI) of Salus University will be partnering with the Temple Diabetes Program (part of Temple University Health) to host free diabetes workshops exploring a variety of topics related to diabetes management.

“Living with diabetes is hard! As we get ready for Real World Diabetes (RWD) classes to begin again in March, we hope we can continue to help our participants with knowledge, practical tips, encouragement, and support,” said Karen Hanson, PhD, director of Interprofessional Practice and Education at Salus University.

  • March 18, 2024 — Dining out/ordering in.
  • April 1, 2024 — Physical and mental well-being.
  • April 8, 2024 — Preventing complications throughout your body.

“Our clinical facilities, especially TEI, see so many patients living with Type 2 diabetes,” said Hanson. “I'm proud that Salus offers this series as a free community service to our patients, and I'm proud that participants tell us how much they've learned and how much they appreciate our classes. Our team is the best!”

Real World Diabetes workshops are offered twice a year, in March and in October, so those interested but not able to attend this session should consider registering for the Fall Series.
