SLI Welcomes Two New Clinical Educators

The Speech-Language Institute (SLI) of Salus University recently welcomed Kimberly Edmonds, MS, CCC-SLP and Joanne Vesay, PhD, CCC-SLP as clinical educators. Both will oversee speech-language pathology students in the University’s College of Education and Rehabilitation as they work with clients at SLI.

Edmonds earned her bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and her master's degree in Communication Disorders from Arizona State University. Bilingual in Spanish, she has worked with children and families from a wide range of cultural and linguistic backgrounds. 

Edmonds also has experience in a variety of settings including public schools, birth to age three programs, pre-school early intervention, and pediatric medical facilities. In addition to her work as a clinical educator at SLI, Edmonds also works as an independent contractor performing bilingual speech-language evaluations in the Philadelphia region.

Dr. Vesay earned her Master of Science degree in Communication Disorders from Penn State University and her Doctor of Philosophy in Education from George Mason University in Virginia.

With experience in higher education, Dr. Vesay has taught special education and early childhood courses at both Rider University and Kean University in New Jersey. Throughout her career as a speech-language pathologist, she has also worked with clients in early intervention, school, clinical, and home-health settings.

In addition to her work as a clinical educator at SLI, Dr. Vesay also operates Monarch Pediatric Tx LLC - a private practice where she provides services as an independent contractor conducting initial and annual evaluations for children ranging in age from birth to three-years-old in Bucks County, Pa.
