On Wednesday, February 22, 2017, Speech-Language Institute director Robert Serianni, MS, CCC-SLP, spoke about speech, language and cognitive issues in the aging population during Salus University’s latest Lunch and Learn Series at the Ambler Area YMCA.
Serianni provided an overview of possible changes in speech, language, cognition and swallowing in the aging population. During the lecture, he discussed the importance of early detection and intervention, and how a speech-language pathologist can assist those experiencing these changes. The highly interactive presentation also included take-home tips to use with family and friends who maybe experiencing communication difficulties.
